Our Girls Volleyball Teams are hosting a DIG PINK Volleyball Event to help promote Breast Cancer Awareness on Thursday, October 29th. We will be playing the Oxnard Yellowjackets so it is sure to be an exciting evening. We hope you will come and show your support of our teams and of Breast Cancer Awareness by wearing PINK to this event.
Our Frosh Soph Team will play at 4:00 pm. Our Junior Varsity will play at 5:15 pm. Our Varsity will play at 6:30. In 2008, the Scorpions and the Yellowjackets shared the Pacific View League title in Volleyball. Come cheer our girls on.
What is Dig Pink?
Dig Pink is a National Breast Cancer awareness rally that is taking place throughout the month of October 2009. High Schools and Colleges are hosting Dig Pink matches all across the country to help educate and raise funds to help fight breast cancer. Wear something PINK and show your support!!!
The Side-Out Foundation Mission
The Side-Out Foundation (Side-Out) was established in 2004 by a group of individuals drawn together by their love of volleyball, but who also share a similar passion to be a part of the war against breast cancer. Side-Out’s mission is to raise money for the war against breast cancer through the recreational activity of volleyball.
The Side-Out Foundation is a Virginia based 501 (c)3 Non-Profit organization with a serving Board of Directors and advisors from the healthcare sector to provide oversight and guidance regarding the strategic direction and recommended allocation of donations and grants.
